Shugborough Mansion
Shugborough is a 900 acre Mansion House & Estate situated on the edge of Cannock Chase. It is the magnificent home to Lord Patrick Lichfield, 2nd cousin to the Queen and world famous photographer.

Owned by the National Trust, the house is financed and administered by Staffordshire County Council. In addition to the permanent attractions below the Estate runs a busy schedule of events for all the family to enjoy.

The Mansion House

Dating back to 1693 the Mansion House was built by the Anson family and has been added to and developed by their successive generations. At the house can be found large collections of 18th century ceramics, silverware, artworks and French furniture decorates the rooms as well as a display giving insight into the photographic works of Patrick Lichfield.

Servants' Quarters (Staffordshire County Museum)
In these restored buildings it is easy to imagine you have travelled back into time. Explore life below the stairs with the help of the costumed guides and visit the laundry, kitchen, brewhouse and shops. See the display of horse drawn vehicles in the coach house or take a lesson in the Victorian schoolroom.

Horses At ShugboroughThe Park Farm
A great family attraction, the Park Farm has a large range of animals, many of a historic variety as the farm is also a rare breeds centre. Enjoy demonstrations of cooking, butter & cheese making and milling at the Georgian farmstead. There is also an adventure playground, pets corner, museum and a working mill at the Farm.

Monuments
There are eight monuments of national importance in the Shugborough parkland built by Thomas Wright of Durham and James 'Athenian' Stuart during the mid 18th century.

Gardens & Parkland
Visit the ever changing gardens of Shugborough. Spring brings daffodils on the banks of the River Sow, the aroma of lavender fills the air in the formal gardens during the Summer whilst the woodland provides a spectrum of autumn colour.

CATERING
A full catering service at the main site in the 'Lady Walk Tea Room' serving a selection of mouthwatering home made dishes open from 11 noon until 5pm daily. Our 'Granary Tea Room' at the Park Farm serves light refreshments daily 11am until 5pm (excluding Mondays. Open Bank Holidays). In addition our kiosk serving snacks and drinks and our ice cream parlour is open at busy times.
