The Penny Bank, RugeleyThe Penny Bank was originally built in Market Square in 1844 and moved to its present location
at the corner of Anson Street and Elmore Lane some time after 1878.

Used as a savings bank it has also been an Evacuee Mothers Club during World War II and a Womens Charity Club .

Now converted to senior citizens flats the building was officially reopened on 30th October 1995 by Lord Lichfield , 5th Earl of Lichfield.
