A great afternoon was had by all at Colton Parish Hall when  they hosted a charity auction to raise funds for their new extension.

We arrived early and it was very quiet but five minutes into the viewing and the room was packed with buyers looking for a bargain!

Being an auction virgin I was soon put at ease by the friendly fun atmosphere and had picked out a number of lots I intended to bid on!

The bidding started and I won my first lot - a box containing a video player, mac zip drive, video editing machine and a coffee maker for the mere price of £1 !!! All were in good working order! What an absolute bargain!

Things became more and more fun as the bidding hotted up and I can say it was one of the best afternoons I had spent in months!

During the auction we enjoyed refreshements and home made cakes and the majority of the lots were sold apart from a handful of specialised items.

I am eagerly awaiting the next local auction so be sure to be there and have a great family fun afternoon !
