Probus Probus is the Association of retired and semi retired men who unite in autonomous clubs throughout the UK. The word probus is an abbreviation of the words PROfessional and BUSiness, but anyone who has had some measure of responsibility in any field of endeavour is eligible. The purpose of the club is to provide regular gatherings of persons who, in retirement, appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances. We meet at St. Paul's Church, Social Room, Lichfield Street, Rugeley, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, commencing with coffee at 10.00am followed by a speaker at 10.30am. Finishing with club business at 11.30am the meetings end at midday.
